-I've been on internet chat since the mid 1990s using various nicks and am the manager of channel **#thevillage**. We have a mix of people from various parts of the world including USA, UK, Canada, Holland, Israel, Germany, France and Australia. The owners of the room are enid and [[ren]]. I created the website [[http://theircvillage.net/]] using Adobe Dreamweaver as an HTML/CSS website using a template, with mibbit as the chat client, featuring a gallery of channel regulars.

-Born in 1967, educated in England with two degrees in computer science, and lived in various parts of the country, mostly London, what you might call a hacker if you were being polite or otherwise a bit of a nerd. I had some fun writing a sophisticated C compiler which had quite respectable sales until Microsoft produced one for free, but which I am nevertheless still developing as an ongoing project. I have worked in various tech jobs including database programming and web design, all under Microsoft Windows. I have Adobe qualifications in Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver authoring, and have been writing webpages since 1996.

-I like the //Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy// which I have read numerous times (I told you I was a nerd :-) ). I stay current with the recent film releases although I'm quite selective in what I watch, which means action films, scifi and some horror if it's well made. I have been using Sony Vaio computers since 1990 and find them excellent machines. My favourite music is rock which means Rush, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and similar.
-My family is Polish and I speak the language relatively fluently. However being born in London I write and think in English, although the first language I learnt was my mother tongue.
-I enjoy travelling to other countries and have been to many European countries as well as various parts of the United States and Canada.
